Vedhika Mohankumar
NNEA Co-Chair
Vedhika is a senior at Irvine High School in Irvine, California. After participating last year in the SNP-Reach program, she found out about the NNEA Core Committee. Inspired to make a change to her community, Vedhika has been a member of the Public Relations Subcommittee since 2022 and is now Co-Chair for SNP-NNEA. Writing quarterly newsletters helped her gain different perspectives on neurodiversity and become further educated on advocacy work. She used her new knowledge to expand and improve Peer1on1, a club dedicated to helping neurodiverse youth. This year, she hopes to increase advocacy and education worldwide through NNEA. Some of her hobbies include archery, spending quality time with friends and family, and music.
Alina Samiullah
NNEA Vice Chair
Alina Samiullah is a junior at Portola High School in southern California and is serving as NNEA's Vice Chair. Her interest in neurodiversity sparked after SNP-REACH in 2022, where she felt to make a difference in the world of neurodiversity advocacy and joined NNEA serving as the Speaker Coordination lead and a Hispanic Initiatives member. She strives to make her school environment more welcoming and inclusive for people of all neurotypes through her school's buddy club. In her free time, she enjoys reading, baking, and occasionally playing badminton.
